FLOak is made from Montepulciano grapes from old vines, fermented and aged in untoasted French oak barriques. A delicate process that enhances the fruit and gives the wine structure, balance and a unique personality.
A rare rosé, bottled exclusively in magnum format: a choice designed to preserve its taste integrity and enhance its potential for evolution over time.
Notes of wild strawberry stand out on the nose, enriched by elegant nuances of vanilla and white chocolate, perfectly blended together. On the palate, FLOak reveals itself to be fresh and dynamic, with an enveloping and refined sip, closed by a softness that makes every taste even more pleasant.
It pairs with surprising versatility: ideal with spiced white meats, peppered mussels, oysters and raw seafood.

]]> Magia – IGT White Wine https://vignadellacava.com/en/prodotto/igt-white-wine-magia/ Tue, 31 Aug 2021 18:05:02 +0000 https://vignadellacava.com/?post_type=product&p=661 This wine is made by the combination of two different grape varieties: Manzoni Bianco and Verdicchio.
The vineyard is in the locality of Offagna, at approximately 309 m above sea level with northeast facing which leaves it exposed to the Bora wind and the sea breeze.
The hilly landscape 10 km from the sea and the sandy soil produce a wine aromatically similar to Riesling but with the distinct robustness of the Verdicchio.
The name comes from our two daughters: Emma e Giada who were born respectively the year the vines were planted and the year of its first harvest.

]]> Magia is a white wine born from the union of two varieties: Manzoni Bianco and Verdicchio, grown on a hilly vineyard in the municipality of Offagna, about 300 meters above sea level. The north-east exposure, the proximity to the sea and the sandy soils give this wine an aromatic profile reminiscent of Riesling, but with the typical Marche grit of Verdicchio.
On the nose it opens with notes of green apple, fresh almond, acacia and a delicate touch of green tea. On the palate it is fresh, taut and vibrant, with a strong citrus note that makes it incredibly pleasant and versatile.
It is the perfect companion for Mediterranean aperitifs, shrimp tartare and fresh and light dishes.
Its name is a tribute to a special moment: our daughters Emma and Giada, born respectively in the year the vineyard was planted and its first harvest.

A simple wine, produced from Flo’s wine pressing.
The idea was born from the desire to produce a red wine, served fresh, as an aperitif, or paired with traditional dishes from the Marche region: the Stocafisso or brodetto di pesce (fish consomme’)
Nearly completely absent of tannins, the blueberrie scent and its soft flavour make this wine suited to all seasons and occasions.
Its name comes from the period before the harvest which, according to the celtic calendar, was associated with the tree Corniolo.
For us it will always represent the beautiful memory of a special day spent with friends and love in face of adversity.

]]> Corniolo is our freest and most spontaneous interpretation of Rosso Conero: a fragrant red wine, also to be drunk fresh, born from the pressing of Flò.
On the nose it releases intense aromas of ripe red fruits, sour cherry and plum, while on the palate it is soft, with a light tannicity and a freshness that makes it perfect in every season.
Versatile and surprising, it pairs well with fish soup, grilled meat or fish, and also as an aperitif glass.
The name recalls the Celtic calendar, which associates the first grape harvest with the Corniolo tree: for us, a symbol of a special day, full of friendship and beauty.

]]> FLÒ – IGT Rose Wine https://vignadellacava.com/en/prodotto/igt-rose-wine-flo/ Tue, 31 Aug 2021 17:53:38 +0000 https://vignadellacava.com/?post_type=product&p=649 This is where it all began; the desire to produce a rose wine inspired by the famous Provençal roses’ using the most well-known native vine from the Marche, the Montepulciano.
The versatility of these vines, which comes from a vineyard planted in 1967, has allowed Flo to obtain the peculiarities that it is known for; a light pink colour (nota tolto simile alla cipria perche’ in inglese e’ un dire che non si una ne suona bene), a delicate flavour of bush strawberries, a mineral taste, and a pleasantly rounded and lasting flavour (nota oppure puoi usare persistent invece di lasting flavour.)
Its name is in honour of a horse which lived in the acreage where now the Magia vines are planted. Its name was Flora and she kept us company eating grass and in return feeding the land. She now lives happily in a small agistment near Offagna.

]]> Flò is the first wine born in the cellar, inspired by the great Provençal rosés but deeply linked to our land, because it is produced with Montepulciano from a 1967 vineyard.
Its delicate color, between powder pink and onion skin, anticipates a refined aromatic profile, with wild strawberries, sour cherry and nuances of white chocolate. In the mouth it is fresh, mineral, savoury, with a balance that makes it perfect to drink at any time.
Ideal with raw fish, pepata di cozze, summer salads and Mediterranean dishes.
The name Flò is a dedication to Flora, the horse that lived for years on that land, now the Magia vineyard. Now she lives peacefully not far away, but her presence remains part of this story.
